City citizens will never have equality until they have the same access to information, whether they are rich or poor. Learning doesn't end when the school bell rings. I learn more now than I ever have, and I've been out of school for over 50 years. All from the internet.

How about free internet? It's done in some areas right now. It would be a great service to everyone and make our town a more desirable place to live.

The changes in transportation coming to Fort Lauderdale in the next few years is amazing. Expanded port, expanded airport, Wave streetcar, All aboard Florida higher speed train. This will bring new business and people to our city. It only stands to reason we should include internet. Maybe we could be the first city in Florida to get Google fiber.

I feel that if we get free internet for every legal resident in Fort Lauderdale, our city will boom together with local businesses. We need free local credible networks, so businesses and consumers alike can register and participate of this technological wave that is isolating people rather than expanding the opportunities for a healthy supply and demand environment.

Tourists who come annually laugh at the disrepair that they see each year they visit. Sad that the city thinks so little about its image! run 3
